Foellinger Auditorium

Since 1907.

Foellinger Auditorium

Foellinger Auditorium is located at the South end of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign quad. Since its original dedication in 1907, millions of people have passed through its doors as students and patrons.

A Campus Icon

It’s been a cultural and entertainment center for the campus by serving two distinctly different functions: classroom and performance. As the largest lecture hall on campus, approximately half of the auditorium’s day is devoted to instructional activities. Frequently, it’s also the site of many student productions, lectures, and modest commercial performances.

The purpose of Foellinger Auditorium is to provide technical support and event management assistance to University student organizations, academic and administrative departments, and the Champaign-Urbana community through knowledgeable and friendly staff. They maintain the historic quality of this facility through effective and efficient management and support the overall mission of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
